Mark Alesse

I first became interested in photography in high school. Now retired, I returned to photography and photo-digital editing. I am a big fan of Photoshop editing. The computer makes for a far more complex and flexible creative process than just f-stops, shutter speed and choice of lens. Having been at this for years, some of the shots in my older portfolio are essentially 'street' photography, taken many years ago in black and white and stored until I scanned them into digital files and printed. My New York City pics are 45 years old and the Moroccan pics are 40 years old. Each had to be cleaned and repositioned, sharpened, fixed for contrast and resolution, and sometimes color adjusted for a hint of color. My goal is to sell my work...
